Near-silence becomes a landscape in “Kenttä”, where Ø pares electronic sound down to frigid low frequencies, sparse repetition and a faint edge of distortion. Released on Mika Vainio’s 1994 debut Metri, the track suspends minimal techno between stark physical presence and the tension of an almost empty space.
