About

Elettronica Concreta follows the music that stays below the threshold — of the club, of the big labels, of the playlist. Records and nights that rarely make noise, and are still there when everything else goes quiet.

Below the threshold

It isn't a genre. It's a level. A record gets in when at least two of these hold:

  • Texture before melody. Noise, saturation, sub, grain, the tail of a reverb.
  • Repetition. Drones, long loops, music that takes its time.
  • Space. Empty rooms, northern and industrial landscapes, hauntology.
  • A small circuit. Micro-labels, limited runs, tapes and 12"s, little promotion.
  • An imaginary. Ritual, archive, memory.

The borders stay open.

What surfaces here

Every day, new records and new nights — in Italy and a train ride away — each with its source.

Every week, the issue: what surfaced, our picks, a label in focus and a deep cut pulled from the archive.

Terms

  • An announcement says a record exists. A pick says how it sounds — and we only write that after hearing it.
  • Covers, photos and flyers only with consent. Otherwise, a link.
  • Every record and every date leads back to where it comes from.
  • We judge sound, never the people who make it.
  • Nothing here is paid for, and we release nothing ourselves.
