Twenty years of friendship before a note was committed to tape: Pete Swanson and Ilyas Ahmed finally meet in the studio for Things Left Unseen. Recorded live without overdubs, its two extended compositions set Ahmed’s languid guitar against Swanson’s corroded electronics, moving from suspended, low-lit drones to surges of static and distortion. A shared history takes shape as sound, somewhere between fragility and noise.
