Experimental electronic music festivals in Italy

Italy has few festivals for experimental electronic music, and some of them are among the best in Europe. These are the ones we follow, in the order of the year. Where we know the 2026 dates, we give them; dates change every year, so always check the official site.

Inner_Spaces, Milan (spring and autumn)

Inner_Spaces is the experimental electronic music and audiovisual series of the San Fedele Cultural Foundation, running since 2012. Concerts take place in the San Fedele Auditorium on the Acousmonium SATOR, about fifty loudspeakers, usually on Monday evenings, in a spring and an autumn season.

Terraforma, Bollate (early summer)

Terraforma is an international festival of artistic experimentation and environmental sustainability, held in the woods and gardens of Villa Arconati, just outside Milan. Past editions have ranged from Laurie Anderson and Autechre to Caterina Barbieri.

Robot Festival, Bologna (autumn)

Robot Festival is dedicated to digital arts and electronic music. Its 17th edition, in 2026, runs across September and October, with Autechre at Estragon on 10 October.

C2C Festival, Turin (late October, early November)

C2C Festival, also known as Club To Club, was founded in 2002 and is the largest indoor music festival in Italy. The 2026 edition runs from 29 October to 2 November, with the main nights at Lingotto Fiere and events at OGR Torino.

Transmissions, Ravenna (November)

Transmissions is an annual festival of experimental and avant-garde music in Ravenna: drone, noise, ambient, folk and psychedelia, with each edition curated by an invited artist. The 2026 edition, the eighteenth, runs from 19 to 21 November.

Also worth knowing

Dancity in Foligno has presented electronic music and audiovisual arts since 2006; its twentieth edition, in June 2026, was billed as The Last Dancity. In Rome, the Thalassa festival has gathered the scene of Italian occult psychedelia since 2013.
